Following a late night arrival in the Big Apple, Jessica Simpson and her mother Tina were spotted up bright and early on Tuesday morning (June 10).

And the rising country starlet looked cute in a white top, black jacket and a pair of black short shorts as she exited her hotel.

Regarding her foray into country music, Jessica recently told press, “It’s a spiritual thing for me, like ‘I know God has a plan and a purpose.’ For the first time in my life, I take a lot of pride in my talent and in the record I was able to put together.”

She continued, “With the writers, I felt comfortable opening up, because the only way this opportunity was going to be a great one was to be honest with myself and with them. If I want to be singing it for the rest of my life onstage, I want it to be honest.”

As for her naysayers, Miss Simpson commented, “Maybe they thought that I was just trying to stomp on their ground for a little bit and see what I could do, and then just go back and make another pop record. But I’m planning on making country for the rest of my life, and I don’t want to go back to that other world.”

Bad News for Amy Winehouse’s Hubby

She just might be one of the most accessible celebrities in the entertainment industry. And earlier today, Amy Winehouse was at it again, signing autographs and posing for pics with fans.

The “Rehab” singer seemed happy enough to indulge her adoring admirers, as she took her cat in as it was returned to her.

And while things for Amy look to be going okay, her hubby’s predicament is quite a different story. It seems that Blake Fielder-Civil, as well ahs his cronies have all pled guilty to assault and perverting the course of justice.

Today the Snaresbrook Crown Court was presented with the evidence that Fielder-Civil attempted to bribe the man he helped assault, James King, with a £200,000 lump sum to leave the country.

Tori Spelling Welcomes Baby Stella!

Former “Beverly Hills 90210” star Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott welcomed a baby daughter into the world on Monday (June 9).

Stella Doreen McDermott was born at 3:13 p.m. at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles via C-section - weighing a healthy 6 lbs., 8 oz., a rep for Spelling told press.

Tori, who also has a 1-year-old son named Liam Aaron with Dean, told press prior to her baby’s arrival: “I’ve always wanted a little girl since I’m such a girly girly. I immediately started crying. I couldn’t believe it. I have my beautiful little boy and now I’ll have my little girl! It’s amazing.”

“This is a dream come true for Tori and Dean,” a friend told Star. “They were blessed with a son last year and will now have double the love and joy in their life with a new baby girl.”

Kim Kardashian and Family Go To France

Following a Sunday afternoon television appearance, Kim Kardashian and her co-star family jetted out of Los Angeles - landing in Nice, France on Monday (June 9).

During their Sunday afternoon appearance on Celebrity Family Feud, the Kardashian/Jenner clan found themselves matched up against NFL showman Deion Sanders.

Kim recently posted about the experience in her personal blog, but refused to shed any light on who came out on top, writing:

“When we got to the studio, we finally found out that we were going to play against NFL superstar Deion Sanders’ family. It was quite a contentious match, bringing out Bruce’s famous competitive side! We all got really into it. You will have to tune into NBC to see who won, because I will never tell.”

Amy Winehouse’s Hubby: Headed to the Big House?

After more than seven months in lockup and multiple visits from his “I’m No Good” wife, Amy Winehouse, Blake Fielder-Civil has copped a plea with prosecutors in regards to the 2006 pub brawl that resulted in the bodily harm of a local bartender.

Fielder-Civil, who has been locked up since November, pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this week. He now faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison for an assault charge, and a maximum life sentence for a witness tampering charge

Meanwhile, Fielder-Civil’s co-defendants in the case also pleaded guilty to charges related to the crime. The entire group will be sentenced at a later date.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Winehouse, appeared in court last week to support her husband, but has yet to comment on the guilty plea. The troubled pop-star was interviewed by British police in relation to the conspiracy charge, but it was announced in February that they would not charge her in the case.

The 24-year old “Rehab” singer and Fielder-Civil married in Miami in May 2007. Along with his stint in jail, their first year of marriage has also seen her head to rehab to battle her much-publicized drug addiction.

Lindsay Lohan’s Ready For Big Screen Success

She moved out of BFF Samantha Ronson’s house and into her own place over the weekend, and Lindsay Lohan now looks poised to reclaim her status as a working Hollywood movie star.

The 21-year-old recovering redhead was spotted out this morning, getting an early start on the set of “Labor Pains” - which is currently filming in Woodland Hills, California.

The movie tells the tale of “A young woman (Lohan) who to pretends to be pregnant in order to avoid being fired from her job. When that gets her a bunch of special treatment by everyone involved in her life, her character tries to keep up the lie for nine months.”

Set for a 2009 release date, “Labor Pains” is directed by Laura Shapiro, co-starring Connie Britton and Chris Parnell.

Mariah Carey Hits Hawaii

Over the weekend, pop singer/newlywed Mariah Carey was spotted hard at work in the Island State of Hawaii filming a new music video.

And the “Touch My Body” babe looked sexy in her skimpy strapless black two-piece bathing suit and a curly hairdo as she primped in between takes.

Mariah’s new hubby Nick Cannon was also spotted in Hawaii’s capital city of Honolulu, arriving on a plane to meet up with his new wife.

And speaking of Cannon, his former fiancé Selita Ebanks recently spoke out regarding Nick’s marriage to Mariah. She told press that she is “truly happy” for them, adding, “I think it’s amazing when two people find love and they just know. It’s a very blissful thing. You can’t hate on love.”

Britney Spears’ International Video Shoot

Back in her days of wild and erratic behavior, Britney Spears was a big fan of Rite Aid. But now that she’s cleaned up her act, it seems she prefers CVS for random errand running.

The “Gimme More” songstress was spotted stopping by a Malibu location of the drug chain yesterday afternoon dressed in thin green sleeveless dress along with a pair of tan suede boots and a pair of aviator sunglasses.

For her next single “Radar” off of her 2007 album Blackout Brit will be reportedly hopping across the pond to shoot the video. According to could-be manager Larry Rudolph, Miss Spears will be doing the exterior shots on the streets of London next week, and she’ll even be directing the shoot.

He told press, “The theme is her and her girlfriends are going to be looking all around London trying to find a boy who she met in a club. Every time they think they have him, it’s someone else. She will be behind the camera as much as possible; she wants to make sure it’s exactly right.”

And the new single/video may be just what she needs to jumpstart her career. Rudolph commented, “She’s in an amazing position for a comeback right now. She could end up being the biggest comeback in history.”

Sure, she’s be having a rough go of it lately, but there’s nothing like some time with family to get Amy Winehouse back on track.

The troubled “Rehab” songstress was spotted out and about last night with her father Mitch Winehouse. The father-daughter pair were on their way to dinner at Guanabana restaurant in the Camden district of London

And surprisingly, the “You Know I’m No Good” singer looked pretty normal, sporting a white printed tank-style shirt with a pair of dark jeans and some white flats.

Following her supper outing, Amy was spotted outside her Camden house, once again indulging her fans with a few front door autographs as the paparazzi fired away.

Kim Kardashian Preps For Celebrity Family Feud

Getting herself ready for a day behind the cameras, Kim Kardashian treated herself to a manicure and pedicure at a Beverly Hills spa on Saturday (June 7).

The reality starlet and her family are lined up to make an appearance on an episode of Celebrity Family Feud, being filmed today (Kim’s broadcasting video from the set live to her blog today).

Meanwhile, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s” hottie and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney are auctioning a lunch date and shopping on eBay for charity, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Dream Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to terminally-ill adults.

Of the auction, Kim says on her eBay page:

“My sisters Khloe and Kourtney and I want to have lunch with you! We can talk about what it is like being in the public eye, having your own reality show, girl talk, and of course our favorite topic - fashion!”

“Not sure where we will meet for lunch, but it will be somewhere nice not too far from our store DASH, about 45 minutes away from Beverly Hills and Hollywood. After lunch, let’s all go back to DASH and do some shopping! We want to help you look your best and will give you a $500 gift certificate to start out with. We all have different styles and tastes so you can be sure to get some helpful advice.”

The auction ends at 7:00 PM Sunday (June 8) - with the current bid listed at $8,700.

Amy Winehouse Apologizes For Racist Video

In typical fashion, Amy Winehouse popped out of her London pad on Saturday night to chat it up with anyone and everyone who decided to drop by.

The Rehab singer first opened her door to speak with journalists following further damaging allegations in the Sunday papers.

According to British tabloid reports, Winehouse is said to have appeared in a video, shot in 2007 by her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil, singing a racist song.

Sucking on a lollipop as she spoke, Amy told the assembled media that she was “very sorry if any of her words had been misunderstood or caused offense.”

Later on the same night, the troubled crooner once again was in her open doorway - greeting a friend dressed as Jimi Hendrix who wandered up to her front door.

Making one final appearance, Amy was seen peering out of her window as fans serenaded her from the street in the early hours of the morning.

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden’s Vegas Weekend

For the second straight evening, Paris Hilton and Benji Madden took in the Vegas nightlife - this time in celebration of Allison Melnick’s birthday on Saturday night (June 7).

Joining the former Simple Life star and her Good Charlotte rocker boyfriend at Tao nightclub were Paris’ sister Nicky and her beau David Katzenberg - with the group mixing it up with a little drinking, dancing and socializing.

Soaking up the California sunshine, Lindsay Lohan enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with a few friends poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood on Sunday (June 8).

Sporting a black two-piece bikini, the Mean Girls starlet enjoyed some time in the lounge chair - recuperating from what was a busy morning.

Wearing an all black, full length summer dress and flat flip-flops, Gwen Stefani paid a visit to her parents house in Orange County on Saturday (June 7).

The Hollaback Girl singer was there to drop her young son Kingston off for babysitting time with the grandparents, while also stopping in for a change of clothes.

After swapping outfits and chatting with her folks, Gwen made her way outside with Kingston being taken for a stroll by his grandfather, Dennis Stefani.
