On Tuesday, YouTube yanked the so-called "real and explicit version" of "Born Free" from its pages, claiming the clip violated rules that "prohibit content like pornography or gratuitous violence."
A spokesperson for the site told the BBC that, while YouTube does not comment on individual videos, its policy is "to age-restrict content that has been flagged by the community and identified by our policy enforcement team as content that, while not violating our community guidelines, is not suitable for users under age 18."
Originally, the "Born Free" video was tagged as containing "content that is inappropriate for some users" and required users to verify they were over the age of 18 before they were allowed to watch the clip (something M.I.A. herself pointed out on her Twitter account). The official version has since disappeared from the site entirely and is not available in the YouTube channels for either M.I.A.'s U.S. label, Interscope Records, or her U.K. home, XL Recordings. A quick search of the site reveals that the video is still readily available for viewing on other YouTubers' pages.
HENRY COUNTY, GA -- Out of jail and doing community service, Clifford "T.I." Harris made a trip to Woodland Middle School in Henry County on March 5, an unwanted surprise for one family.
Tom Myers was surprised when his daughter came home and told him that T.I. had been the speaker at the assembly on anti bullying. Myers told 11Alive News that had he known T.I. was speaking, he would not have allowed his daughter to attend. So he wrote an e-mail to Woodland's principal, Dr. Terry Oatts.
"The first e-mail I sent to him was to ask that from now on we have some kind of parental input whether or not a speaker is appropriate. If I don't want my child to be there, just give me the right to opt them out," Myers said.
Myers also wrote in the e-mail, "How about next time, let him mow the grass or pick up the trash around the school grounds? If the kids see that they might understand that what he did was wrong."
In e-mails obtained by 11Alive News, Oatts replied in his e-mail, "I thought about asking a guy who snorted cocaine and got arrested for DUI when he was 30 to come and speak to our kids, but President George W. Bush was not available."
Oatts went on to write in the exchanges with Myers that even the president made mistakes when he was young, and that T.I.'s messages to the students was 'to take their education seriously, put forth their best effort, pursue their dreams and not engage in bullying.'
But the bottom line, to Tom and Candi Myers, is that they didn't want their daughter to be at that assembly. School officials say parents were notified of the assembly but that T.I. was a surprise guest.
Myers admits T.I. encouraged the kids to study and work hard, but he's not convinced.
"T.I.'s an actor and he can sit down and act with the best of them. He's an entertainer. That's what he does," Myers said.
The creators of “South Park” better watch their backs.
That’s what a radical Islamic group based in New York “warned” on their Web site, RevolutionMuslim.com, using violent imagery to express their unhappiness over the depiction of the Prophet Muhammed in a bear suit on the 200th episode of the long-running Comedy Central series.
The episode never actually depicts the Prophet Muhammed, but indicates him as a character wearing a bear suit.
“We have to warn Matt [Stone] and Trey [Parker] that what they are doing is stupid,” a posting on the Web site stated on Tuesday, according to reports.
“They will probably end up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show,” it noted, referencing the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 over a documentary he made that addressed violence against Muslim women.
“This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them,” the statement reportedly concluded.
The suggestion that the message, accompanied by violent imagery, was not meant as a “threat,” was echoed by the author of Islamic group’s Web site post.
“It’s not a threat,” Abu Talhah al Amrikee told Fox News, who noted that the show’s use of the religious figure could invite violence.
“They’re going to be basically on a list in the back of the minds of a large number of Muslims,” he said. “It’s just the reality.”
Despite claims that they did not seek to invite violence against Stone and Parker, the site also reportedly revealed where the “South Park” creators work, and included a sermon calling for punishments for blasphemy against the Muslim religion.

On Motherhood and Lil Wayne as a father:
Mother hood has changed me alot. I’ve definitely calmed down. I had a temper in the past and I don’t as much anymore. My son definitely puts stuff in perspective. the things I thought were really really important, aren’t. I don’t look at the surface as much anymore. A lot of things I was doing before were really selfish and now it’s not about me. It’s about him.
I’m blessed that I am not parenting him alone. I have help and I get to do what i love. Wayne is a great dad. He’s a great father. I have no complaints!

Reality star Sharon Osbourne, 57, told Matt Lauer on the “Today” show that she will have her 34 DD breast implants removed in July and made into paperweights for Ozzy’s desk.
Sharon will still have implants but is reportedly planning to drop down two cup sizes.
“They’re better on his desk than on my chest,” she said. “They’re awful!”

Actor Kal Penn was mugged early this morning while walking in a neighborhood in Washington, D.C.
According to police, the actor claims a man carrying a gun approached him at around 1:20 AM and took his wallet and other personal property.
Penn reported the incident immediately to police, who have launched an investigation into the matter.

Several sources are reporting that Cameron Diaz, 37, and Justin Timberlake, 29, flirt openly on the set of their romantic comedy.

Star Magazine has reported that Angelina is almost three months along in her pregnancy and that she and Brad have been “trying for months”.
In recent photos of Angelina Jolie while filming her movie “The Tourist” with Johnny Depp, she does appear to have a baby bump. Of course any bit of swelling would look like a baby bump on her stick-thin frame.
“Yes, Angie is pregnant,” a family source claims. “They’d been trying for another baby for months, but it was still a total shock when she found out. Brad and Angie have been fighting so much lately, it just didn’t seem possible.”

Drake premieres his new video for his first official single “Over” directed by Anthony Mandler. This is actually a good Drake video, no shade to the Kanye-directed “Best I Ever Had”. He tells MTV:

The new buzz on the streets is that Nicki Minaj has fired her manager Deb Antney (mother of rapper Waka Flocka Flame) of So Icey Entertainment. According to BET’s Entertainment Spotlight blog, Deb may have been the reason Nicki pulled out of Rihanna’s “Last Girl On Earth” Tour. They posted this tidbit of info from someone who commented on a blog:
“I know for a FACT that she was fired because the stupid b–ch neglected to get Nicki Minaj an international work permit (you need those to perform outside of the US) and they take a long time to obtain. Well, Nicki cant work outside the US on the tour, so therefore she couldn’t go..boo hoo. The manager neglected to tie some loose ends in regards to that. This info is just a little shady because Rihanna’s tour dates were in the U.S. and if I’m not mistaken, Nicki Minaj performed during MTV’s Spring Break which was held outside of the U.S (Mexico). However, Deb did confirm that she was no longer Nicki’s manager in a recent issue of Hip Hop Weekly:
“I received a letter, which was (a) suspension. The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki’s attorney.” She adds, “I love Nicki. I wish her the most success. It’s not about the music, she’s like one of my children… I wish her no harm, only much success.”
Nas went to court Monday over his divorce with Kelis — and walked out a little lighter in the wallet.
According to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Nas had to immediately fork over $47,249.42 in back child support and $40,454 in back spousal support.
The judge also ordered Nas to pay $10,000/month in spousal support until he pays off the $299,015.50 he owes Kelis.
Nas also has to pay 90% of Kelis’ legal fees in the amount of $155,787.28.
Lastly, Nas has to pay $48,549.83 to cover Kelis’ accounting expenses.
