Jackson Memorial Set for Hometown of Gary
Continuing to mourn the tragic loss of the King of Pop, a memorial is set to be held for Michael Jackson in his hometown of Gary, Indiana.
According to Us magazine, the event kicks off at 6PM today (July 10) at the public ballbark – with Joe Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson all to make appearances.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Gary, Rudy Clay Spacer, hopes to persuade the Jackson family to bring Michael’s body back to his hometown from Los Angeles at some point for future burial.
Michael was a resident of the industrial Indiana city for his first 11years of his life before moving out of town following the success of the Jackson 5.
