Amy Winehouseoverdose Amy Winehouses Family Reveal Toxicology Results
British singer Amy Winehouse’s death was not caused by drugs, according to her family who were provided toxicology reports.
The results of the toxicology reports given to Winehouse’s family, following her death at age 27, show that there were no illegal substances in her system at her time of death. But there was alcohol in her system.
Amy’s family released a statement saying, “Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.
“The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.”
An autopsy was performed two days after Amy Winehouse‘s death but came back inconclusive.
