A warrant has been issued for actress Lindsay Lohan’s arrest after she did not attend a mandatory probation hearing today in Los Angeles. Read more on Lindsay Lohan’s arrest below.
The actress was ordered to appear before Judge Marsha Revel at the Beverly Hills Courthouse following reports she has failed to complete court-ordered alcohol classes.
Lindsay Lohan claims she lost her passport in France, where she is attending the Cannes Film Festival. The actress has been in contact with the U.S. Embassy but they were only able to replace her documents on Thursday, which caused her to miss her court date this morning.
The probation hearing went on as scheduled today and Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, tried to explain the passport issue to the Judge as the reason for Lindsay’s absence.
But the judge refused to accept Lindsay’s excuse and issued the arrest warrant.
Lohan is due to fly back to the United States on Friday and will be taken into custody when she lands. Her bail has been set at $100,000.
