Looking the happy couple, Rihanna and Chris Brown sat side-by-side at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday (June 1).

Prior to the start of the show, Chris strutted his stuff along the gold carpet while his Umbrella singing beauty passed up on the opportunity - saving her poses for inside the amphitheatre, where the duo sat next to Paris Hilton and Benji Madden.

In related news, reports tell that Rihanna, 20, and Chris, 19, have recently treated each other to expensive diamond necklaces worth $200,000 in an expression of their love for one another.

The twosome picked up the expensive gifts from jeweler Jason Arasheben’s exclusive Beverly Hills store, with Arasheben telling the News of the World: “Chris went for the heart theme while Rihanna chose a diamond-encrusted cross to give to him.”

Miley Cyrus Gets a Feathered Friend

Everybody knows that celebrities love their pets. And Miley Cyrus was spotted on her way to pick out a feathered friend over the weekend.

The “Hannah Montana” hottie dropped by The Perfect Parrot in Hollywood, California to buy a pet bird, sporting a grey tracksuit with a bright blue t-shirt underneath as she smiled for the paparazzi and flashed a peace sign.
And it sounds like she’ll be doing another season of her hit TV show, despite rumors that she was considering quitting the gig following her Variety Fair photo scandal. She told press, “We’re doing the movie, and then one more season, maybe two. It’s probably going to be one more season though.”

Acting and singing aside, Miley says she’s interested in trying her hand at fashion design. “I would love to have my own clothing line because my style is different from a lot of people. I like starting trends, but I also like to be comfortable. I like to be casual but cute and stylish at the same time.”

Zanessa Charm MTV Movie Awards

While they opted not to do a Gold Carpet arrival at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens gave the paparazzi plenty of photo opportunities.

The High School Musical sweethearts looked so happy together at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California last night. And Mr. Efron even walked away with the award for Breakthrough Performance for his role in Hairspray (Diddy and Lindsay Lohan presented the award).

Zac looked studly in a matching shiny blue jacket-and-pants suit with a classic white button-up shirt and his signature whispy brown hair and big smile.

And Vanessa wasn’t looking too shabby either, sporting a plunging neckline sea shell-patterned dress with a pair of beige high-heeled sandals.

Amy Winehouse Heads to Court

It seems like forever since her husband Blake Fielder-Civil went to jail (just before this past Christmas), and like a good wife, Amy Winehouse was spotted on her way to attend his trial.

Earlier today, the troubled singer was seen leaving her Camden, London home to attend her hubby’s trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court. Fielder-Civil is being tried for beating up a man, and then attempting to bribe a witness, thus conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

The “Rehab” singer actually looked respectable, sporting a bluish-grey jumpsuit-esque belted dress with a pair of peep-toe heels.

Over the weekend, she showed up over an hour late to her concert in Lisbon, Portugal, leaving 90,000 fans waiting impatiently. And when she finally arrived, she was very apologetic. “Hey Lisbon, I’m sorry I’m late,” she said from the stage.

From her bandaged wrist, to the cuts on her left arm, Winehouse was visably disheveled. But hey, at least she showed up for the gig!

Kim Kardashian Glams Up Target Afterparty

Following the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, Target and Converse One Star hosted an afterparty for all of the night’s winners and attendees. And Kim Kardashian was all about hamming it up on the red carpet.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” starlet sported a black and white ballerina-style dress along with a pair of black ultra-modern-looking heels and a black handbag.

Earlier in the day, the “Disaster Movie” hottie was spotted out and about in West Hollywood, doing some shopping at the super-hip Intermix boutique on Robertson Boulevard, as well as picking up her dry cleaning.

And she looked summer chic in a strapless animal-print dress with a pair of flip flops and, of course, her ever-present ‘I’m a celebrity’ shades.

Eva Longoria Checks Out “Sex and the City”

Now that her hubby Tony Parker and his San Antonio Spurs have been knocked out of the NBA Finals, Eva Longoria has been finding new ways to keep herself busy.

Last night, the “Desperate Housewives” cutie was spotted leaving the ArcLight Hollywood Cinema following a showing of “Sex and the City: The Movie.”

And she looked conservative-yet-cute in a short-sleeved white knee-length dress with a pair of flip flops and a massive handbag, perhaps for sneaking candy into the theater!

On Saturday, the “Over Her Dead Body” babe was all about helping the Padres Contra El Cancer charity, running in the Hope! 5K Charity Run/Walk. And after her good deed, Eva and some gal pals hit up a local Sushi bar.

Megan Fox: Pretty In Pink at the Movie Awards

Looking lovely in a flowing pink gown, Megan Fox walked the gold carpet at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday (June 1).

The Transformers babe is continuing what has been a busy weekend – as this is her second awards show in the past three days.

The stars were out in full force on Sunday evening for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

And the red carpet was full of top notch fashion, with celebs like Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessic Parker and the stars of The Hills all strutting their stuff for photogs lining the gold carpet.

Showing off “slinky designer dresses and sky-high stilettos to dressed-down jeans-and-tee combos,” Hollywood’s hottest mingled amongst one another before making their way inside for the show.

Also gracing the red carpet were stars including: Anne Hathaway, Nicole Scherzinger, Tila Tequila, Chris Brown and Jennifer Hudson, all ready to watch the Mike Myers hosted affair, which airs live on MTV at 8 PM.

Lindsay Lohan Hits the MTV Movie Awards

Lindsay Lohan was a gold carpet stunner at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday (May 31).

LiLo was on hand for her presenting duties at the Mike Myers hosted awards ceremony.

The Mean Girls starlet seemed to be doing well after a Thursday trip to the hospital for what her mom says was an asthma attack.

“She was losing oxygen. She couldn’t breathe,” Dina Lohan told People magazine. “She was afraid to go the hospital because [the paparazzi] were gonna write about it. She was sick.”

“If you were sick, and you’re mother couldn’t even take you to a hospital because paparazzi will fabricate some story, you know, it’s sad. It’s really sad,” Dina adds.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo: San Diego Sweethearts

After attending last night’s opening of the Palm’s Place Condo Hotel in Las Vegas, Jessica Simpson popped up at San Diego International Airport with her Dallas Cowboys quarterback beau Tony Romo.

For the airbound outing, Jessica wore a red and white maxi dress while Tony kept hidden under his baseball cap, per usual.

And while there have been continuous reports that the two have broken up, it sure didn’t seem that way from the looks of their Sunday afternoon spent together.

According to an eyewitness at the scene, “The two were very close while checking in curbside – smiling and holding hands with one another as they made their way through the terminal.”

Mariah Carey Makes the Most of Tokyo Trip

With her trip to Japan coming to a close, Mariah Carey made sure to sneak in one final promotional stop while visiting the Land of the Rising Sun.

The Touch My Body singer was looking her usual sexy self as she attended a fan greeting event at VenusFort (a big mall in Tokyo) on Sunday (June 1).

During her recent trip overseas, of which she was accompanied by new husband Nick Cannon, Mariah caused a stir wherever she went.

Public appearances included a performance at the 2008 MTV VMAs Japan, where she picked up the Video Vanguard Award, along with throwing out the first pitch at the Yomiuri Giants/Rakuten Golden Eagles baseball game in Tokyo.

Lindsay Lohan Re-Stocks Her Closet

It was another day filled with shopping for Lindsay Lohan, as the Mean Girls starlet made her way out on multiple retail stops throughout the afternoon on Saturday (May 31).

Wearing a graphic print tee under a black blazer, a black miniskirt and black ballet flats, the 21-year-old recovering redhead first stepped out with assistant Jenni Munro - grabbing some lunch together and then stopping by Barney’s New York for a little retail therapy.
After changing clothes and throwing on a pair of sandals, LiLo then hit up Voda Spa before stopping into the Palms Restaurant in LA for dinner.

In related news, Lindsay has recently agreed to take part in Visa Swap - a big ethical swap sale, fronted by Mischa Barton.

According to press reports, “Lindsay has donated an Issa frock, a pair of barely worn Jimmy Choos, a Miu Miu bag and two vintage pieces, one of which (a little silver shift dress) she has brought with her in a carrier bag.”

“Usually I hate giving away clothes,” Lohan says. “Everything I wear, it has such personality, but I think this is an amazing idea, so I’m more than willing to give what I can.”

Taking an evening to mingle with friends, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes threw a big housewarming party at their Los Angeles mansion on Saturday (May 31).

Celebrity pals and movie industry chiefs showed up with their drivers one-by-one, with A-listers including Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Lopez all in attendance

Describing the evening affairs, an OK! magazine source tells: “From the street, the sounds of horns pierced the warm night air as a full orchestra played big-band music throughout the night, at one point striking up a rendition of the Mission Impossible theme song.”

“Guests were treated to a formal sit-down dinner, which took place outside under a giant black tent covering the entire front of the estate alongside a large rectangular fountain. Behind the main house in the yard, an outdoor lounge offered comfortable sofas,” the insider report adds.

Christina Aguilera’s Night in Sin City

Stepping out more and more often following the January birth of her first child, Max, Christina Aguilera was out making some cash with appearances at two Las Vegas nightclubs on Saturday (May 31).

The “Genie in a Bottle” babe posed for photographers on the red carpet at LAX nightclub, also performing at PURE at Caesars Palace for the Stephen Webster Silver Collection launch event.

In related news, Aguilera has also taken an interest in the upcoming elections, filming a Rock the Vote public service announcement with her newborn son in which she encourages young people to vote.

The “Dirrty” singer told press, “This election in particular is such an exciting and historical one, and so I was proud to have my son and I stand together for such a powerful moment and message in time.”

Simpson Sisters Party in Vegas

Enjoying a night out in Sin City, the Simpson sisters and Pete Wentz headed out for the grand opening of the Palms Place Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas on Saturday (May 31).

Upon arrival, Ashlee Simpson and her Fall Out Boy beau posed on the red carpet together before Ashlee’s big sister Jessica took her turn.
Shortly thereafter, the singing siblings met up inside - with Jessica smilingly rubbing Ashlee’s pregnant tummy.

The night marked the latest addition to the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, as Palms Place is a multi-million dollar, 47-story hotel, condominium, hotel, and spa.
