Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi: GLAAD Lovers

Ellen DeGeneres was honored by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for an episode of her show containing details of her wedding with Portia De Rossi.

GLAAD recognizes media for their representation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.



The Ellen DeGeneres Show won the Outstanding Talk Show Episode award which was entitled, “Ellen & Portia’s Wedding Day.”

After the show, Ellen and Portia went to Madeo and enjoyed each others’ company while holding hands. Portia looked striking in a red one shoulder and Ellen dressed spiffy in a suit and her signature tennis shoes.

Brooke Hogan Gets Down with Stack$

Enjoying an eventful evening, Brooke Hogan was out at the All Star Birthday Bash and Record Release party for her new boyfriend Stack$ at SOBE in Miami over the weekend (April 17).

The “Brooke Knows Best” star looked sexy in a little red dress, even giving photogs a panty plashing while she joined her boyfriend for the celebration.



Meanwhile, after the recent controversy concerning the Hogan family, Brooke finally spoke out in defense of her famous father. “I cannot believe how blown out of proportion one small part of a seven page article has become.”

Brooke continued defending her statements made in the magazine, saying, “It’s a classic cae of a quote being taken out of context. I look up to my father in every way. He has been through so much and has taken the high road through it all. The idea that he would condone the O.J. situation is just outrageous.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z: NYC Retail Romp

Ever the stylish couple, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z went for a walk around the Soho section of New York City to go shopping for sunglasses on Saturday (April 18).

According to a paparazzo on the scene, the afternoon outing quickly drew the attention of the couple’s adoring fans, who swarmed around to ask for their autographs.




Meanwhile, the weekend outing comes just after Beyonce’s announcement of the tour dates for the North American leg of her “I Am...” world tour, which kicks off at New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 21.

Miley Cyrus: Weekend Pampering

Living the good life in Los Angeles, Miley Cyrus spent Saturday afternoon (April 18) getting pampered alongside her mother, Leticia “Tish” Cyrus.

The “Hannah Montana” starlet and her mom first dropped by Nail Garden for manicures before working on their complexions with a stop at Sunlounge Tanning.



Meanwhile, a family friend recently spoke with press about the hurtful comments which Miss Cyrus, 16, constantly endures - most recently evidenced by Jamie Foxx’s crude remarks.

“Miley is well aware that her mega celebrity status makes her an easy target,” a family member tells the Examiner. “But she is a very strong person - both inside and out - and will do everything she can to stay true to herself.”

Ashton, Demi, and Diddy Visit CNN

Rounding out their week with an appearance on “Larry King Live,” Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs were spotted leaving CNN studios yesterday (April 17).

The “Punk’d” stud and his wife wore similar black jacket/blue jean combos, while Diddy kept it colorful with a pink striped sweater and pink/black sneakers.





Commenting on his landmark of getting over one million followers on Twitter during Friday’s “Oprah Winfrey Show,” Kutcher stated, “In some ways this is kind of a commentary on the state of media. I believe we are at a place now with social media where one person’s voice can be as powerful as a news network – an entire media network.”

Kutcher continued, “My life is somewhat on display anyway, and always not by choice. So instead ... I can publish pictures and videos of myself that have already been pre-approved and that I’m happy with.”

Rihanna: Gearing Up for Big Comeback

Continuing her frequent travels, Rihanna showed off her bright pink sneakers as she passed through LAX Airport this past week.

Since returning to Los Angeles, the “Umrella” singer has kept quite the active social life - as she went clubbing on Thursday night followed by an appearance at Britney Spears’ Circus show at Staples Center last night (April 17).




In related news, it’s being reported that Rihanna could soon be making her return to the stage, as she’s in talks to put on a show next month in Dubai.

“Rihanna will be performing on May 28,” Mary Rachelle Cherpak, a spokeswoman for Dubai Department of Tourism, told MTV News. “The tickets have not gone on sale, but will do so in the next two weeks.”

Describing what can be expected, Cherpack added that it will be “a concert for 25,000 audience members.”

Jay-Z’s Entourage: Dine and Dash?

We all know celebrities love to enjoy the fruits of their success with luxurious nights out. But during a recent evening at M2 in Chelsea, NYC, Jay-Z’s peeps left the bill unpaid.

Atlantic Records executive Michael Kyser and Universal Music Group’s Shawn Costner took the “99 Problems” rapper and his friends out for a swanky good time. And everything was going well until the bill came.




M2 manager Dan Develin told press, “The waitress has known him for five years, and he’s a good friend of Joey’s, so we ended up comping a lot of their bill. Kyser and Costner were making a big show of wanting to take Jay-Z out, so they started arguing over who got to pick up the check.”

But after Costner’s credit card was declined, Kyser agreed to pay the bill. “Before we could get him to sign the receipt, he left the club. Of course, we still have his card, so we called up his office, and his assistant told us someone would come by to sign. Weeks went by, and no one ever did. Finally, we got a call from AmEx and were told that Kyser was disputing the charge. When we called him up again, his assistant said, ‘Oh, Michael says he doesn’t actually remember being there’—which is crazy because we have his card and photos of him and Jay-Z.”

Rihanna Hits the Club

Getting a jumpstart on her weekend, Rihanna was spotted out and about in Hollywood, California last night (April 16) hitting up a club.

The “Take a Bow” songstress was none-too-thrilled to see shutterbugs in her midst as she made her way inside, sporting a black shirt and denim shorts.



Coming up next month, Ri-Ri is scheduled to make her big return to the stage for the first time since her domestic abuse incident with Chris Brown at the beginning of February.

On May 28th she’ll perform a concert in Dubai, UAE. An event spokesperson told press, “There will be over 25,000 tickets available. They will be going on sale in the next couple of days.”

Shia LaBeouf: Digging on Megan Fox

It’s always interesting to see movie costars fall for each other in real life, but that’s something Shia LaBeouf is guarding against in his work with Megan Fox.

The “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” hotties have plenty of intimate moments on-screen, and Shia recently confessed that he has to have regular reality checks so that he doesn’t fall for his leading lady.




LaBeouf stated, “We have a relationship on-screen but off-screen we are just good friends. You have to create these boundaries and be as respectful as you can.

Shia added, “What’s hard for me is to go from a scene back to reality and then back to boundaries. It’s hard. It’s really hard.”

Halle Berry: Mojo at Mom’s House

Looking cute and comfortable in a white t-shirt with jeans, Halle Berry was spotted coming out of her mom’s house in North Hollywood following a visit on Wednesday (April 8).

The 42-year-old Oscar-winning actress recently opened up to Harper’s Bazaar magazine about how she keeps all of her mojo going, to which she responded, “I have a 33-year-old man (Gabriel Aubry). That’ll keep your mojo mojo-in’.”




The “Gothika” actress also noted that she is done with marriage, saying, “No. I’m done. Also, I happened to find a person who feels done too, and he’s never even been married before. So it works.”

There’s even been recent talk of the happily non-married couple having another baby soon. Daughter, Nahla, just turned 1 in March.

Samantha Ronson and Benji Madden: Coffee Date

Out for an afternoon pick-me-up, Samantha Ronson and Benji Madden were spotted meeting up at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Los Angeles yesterday (April 8).

The celebrity deejay and the Good Charlotte rocker looked to be enjoying each other’s company, both hiding behind sunglasses as they tried to ignore the paparazzi.





And though her mother and sister had previously inquired about getting a restraining order against Ronson’s ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan, Samantha says she’s not interested in such an action.

While leaving her house earlier this week, SamRo told shutterbugs, “No truth to that,” as she headed off with her bulldog in tow.

Lady GaGa Rocks Ft. Lauderdale

She’s been taking her brand of dance-infused pop music all over the globe, and last night the folks down in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida got a chance to see Lady GaGa in action.

The “Just Dance” songstress gave a rousing performance at Revolution, writhing around the stage while singing through a hit-filled set list.



Afterwards, GaGa looked absolutely worn out as she left the venue with her security to find plenty of paparazzi waiting for her.

And while she’s been on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for quite some time with her hit “Poker Face,” Lady GaGa said goodbye to #1 this week as the Black Eyed Peas moved in with their single “Boom Boom Pow.”

Michael Jackson: Lap of Luxury

He’ll be temporarily relocating to London, England this summer for a string of shows at the O2 Arena, and Michael Jackson has already picked out where he’ll be staying during his time abroad.

The “Billie Jean” singer has selected a massive mansion in Chislehurst, just outside London, that boasts plenty of room both inside and out.






Meanwhile, Jackson’s Thriller album has been voted the greatest album of all time in a poll of 40,000 music fans conducted recently by MTV.

Jacko’s magnum opus beat out Craig David’s Born to Do It, Guns N Roses’ Appetite for Destruction, Radiohead’s Ok Computer, and Nirvana’s Nevermind.

Miley, Emily, and Luke: Out in NYC

They’ve been all over the Big Apple all week ahead of Friday’s theatrical release of “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” and earlier today (April 8) Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, and Lucas Till were spotted over at the Peninsula Hotel.

The “7 Things” songstress looked to be having a marvelous time hanging out with her costars as fans and paparazzi clamored to get a look at their famous faces.





Earlier today Miley joined her father Billy Ray over at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square for a live performance broadcast on “Good Morning America.”

Of her upcoming weekend, Miley revealed, “During my new movie’s opening weekend I’ll be flying all over the country to make surprise appearances. So get ready, I may be seeing you on opening weekend!”

Whitney Houston: Suing Stepmom

In one of the more bizarre lawsuits to hit Hollywood in recent memory, Whitney Houston is suing her stepmother Barbara Houston for $1.6 million.

According to a report, the lawsuit stems back to the 2003 death of the “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” singer’s father, who left her a $1 million life insurance policy.





Barbara claimed that Whitney “improperly kept the proceeds from the policy,” and that she was entitled to the money in order to pay off her Fort Lee, New Jersey condo mortgage.

Unfortunately, Whitney (who holds the mortgage) never got the memo and is now suing Barbara for unpaid payments on the condo. All in all it’s just one big logistical nightmare.
