Miley Cyrus Apologizes for “Slant-Eyed” Photos.. Again

With her first apology seemingly failing to make things right, Miley Cyrus has once again taken to her blog to express her regret over her much talked about slant-eyed photos.

After being criticized for not sounding sincere in her first attempt to make things right, the Disney singer/actress was pushed by the Organization of Chinese Americans, among others, who called for a fuller apology.

Quickly obliging, Miley wrote, “I want to thank all of my fans for their support not only this week, but always! I really wanted to stress how sorry I am if the photo of me with my friends offended anyone.”

The 16-year-old starlet adds, “I have learned a valuable lesson from this and know that sometime my actions can be unintentionally hurtful. I know everything is a part of GODs ultimate plan, and mistakes happen so that eventually I will become the woman he aspires me to be. Peace and love, Miles”

Chris Brown Under Investigation For Alleged Assault

Los Angeles police are investigating an alleged domestic violence felony battery report involving Chris Brown, according to The Associated Press.

The police department said in a release that the 19-year-old R&B singer and an unidentified woman were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles early Sunday (February 8) when they began arguing.

Police said Brown and the woman got out of the car and the argument escalated; the woman reportedly identified Brown as her attacker. Officers said Brown was not present at the scene when they arrived. People.com is reporting that the woman suffered visible injuries.

A rep for the singer had not responded to MTV News' requests for comment at press time.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Web site, Rihanna and Brown were involved in a car accident Sunday night; a rep for her would not confirm or deny the accident, saying only that "Rihanna is well. Thank you for the care and support."

LAPD officer April Harding told People that the identity of the female victim will not be released, due to the fact that "any victim who's involved in a domestic violence incident is entitled to confidentiality."

The incident is still under investigation, according to police. MTV News' attempts to reach Brown's spokesperson for comment on the matter were unsuccessful.

It was announced on E! Sunday night that neither Rihanna nor Chris Brown will be performing at the Grammy Awards as scheduled; the Recording Academy has issued a press release confirming that Rihanna will not be appearing at the show.

BROWN RELEASED ON $50,000 BAIL OVER ALLEGED FELONY BATTERY
R&B singer CHRIS BROWN has been freed on bail following police talks in connection to an alleged domestic violence felony battery, according to U.S. reports.
The 19 year old posted $50,000 (�34,250) bail on Sunday (08Feb09) evening, according to FOXNews.com.
It follows an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning in which Brown and an unidentified woman were involved in a heated row in a vehicle in Los Angeles.
According to a police report, “After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”
Police received a 911 call reporting the disturbance. When officers arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene.
Brown turned himself in to cops at a Los Angeles police station later on Sunday.
According to law enforcement records, Brown was taken into custody at 6:30 p.m. and was officially booked at 7:41 p.m. for making criminal threats.
Brown posted the bail amount and was released at 8:35 p.m., reports People.com.
On Saturday night (07Feb09), Brown and girlfriend Rihanna - who were both scheduled to perform at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (08Feb09) - attended music mogul Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills.
Both stars cancelled their appearances at the big show.

Doing her best to stay under the paparazzi radar, Miley Cyrus was spotted at LAX International Airport yesterday (February 1).

The “Hannah Montana” hottie sported a black v-neck top with black stretch pants and Sherpa-lined boots as she ducked inside a private room.


In related news, it sounds like Miley has a new ride- she told fans on MileyWorld that she’s currently rolling around town in a new Toyota Prius, a gift from her father Billy Ray.

She revealed, “I’m gonna get Hello Kitty floor mats,” adding that the car is “good for the environment and adorable.”

Speaking of Billy Ray, Miss Cyrus credits him for keeping the shutterbugs at bay. In a recent report she gushed, “He is protective of all of us, because he loves us. He particularly gets upset when paparazzi always try to get my picture. It’s because I’m his little girl. Once I saw him get upset with one guy. He was saying ‘Dude, not cool, not cool.’ The guy was so apologetic, going ‘Sorry Mr Cyrus, sorry.’”

Brittany Flickinger Still Friends With Paris??

We’re used to seeing her cavorting around town with her BFF Paris Hilton, but last night Brittany Flickinger was spotted out and about all by her lonesome.

The “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF” winner looked super sexy in a blue halter-style dress with a red pashmina and matching red peep-toe heels as she arrived at Club Element in Los Angeles.

And it sounds like we may be seeing more of Brittany going solo - apparently she and Paris aren’t doing so well in the BFF department.

According to a report, Paris’ sister Nicky refused to let Paris stay at David Katzenberg’s Sundance house during the Film Festival, forcing her to rent her own condo.

Also, Miss Hilton has been cold to Brittany in favor of hanging out with Aubrey O’Day while in Sundance. An insider revealed, “Paris kept ditching Brittany for Aubrey. She [Brittany] was crying and screaming, ‘Paris, stop leaving me!’”

Ali Lohan: Supportive Sister

Stepping out for a little fresh air, Ali Lohan was spotted out for an afternoon stroll in West Hollywood, California on Friday (January 9).

Clad in an all-black ensemble with matching black knee-high boots, the “Living Lohan” starlet listened to her iPod as she walked sister Lindsay’s assistant’s dog around the neighborhood.

According to the latest rumors, LiLo is now moved in with her assistant Jen after splitting from her DJ lover Samantha Ronson - and Ali has been around lending a little sisterly support.

In related news, it’s being reported by Perez Hilton that Ali’s big sis has been signed on as the spokeswoman for Italian fashion brand Fornarina.

Looking in quite the jovial mood, Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Justin Gaston were spotted grabbing up lunch with a gal pal in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (January 10).

Laughing amongst one another, the trio popped into City Wok for a little Chinese food as Miley and Justin matched up their outfits with both wearing white t-shirts, jeans and sneakers.

In related news, the date is quickly approaching during which Miley will be releasing her new autobiography, “Miles to Go,” which is set to appear in bookstores on March 10.

While few details have been released as of yet, the book will chronicle the life of the Disney starlet and her rise to fame.

John Travolta and Family: Grateful for Support

It’s been an excruciating past week and a half for John Travolta and his family following the sudden death of his 16-year-old son Jett. And the Travolta family has released a thank-you letter to “The People of Ocala,” thanking them for their love and support.

Family attorney Michael McDermott published the letter in the Ocala Star-Banner, expressing gratitude to the community for standing by them during this “impossibly painful situation.”


The letter reads, “The enormous amount of love, support and condolence we have received from this community has been most humbling. Comforting words, thoughts and prayers of Ocala’s citizens have made an impossibly painful situation, a little less painful. The actions of Ocala’s community leaders, its law enforcement professionals, our neighbors at Jumbolair and its surrounding communities have offered us the dignity to grieve the loss of our son and Ella’s brother in peace. For this we will always be grateful.”

It continues, “From the people who drove hours to drop off cards and flowers at our doorstep, to the service providers who made Jett’s ceremony so beautiful, thank you. Every person who we have encountered has offered to do anything in their power to help us, but add that they feel powerless to do so. We want all of you to know that you have already helped us. By sharing our grief, you lessen our burden. For all of the people who have kept Jett in their prayers, know that those prayers have given us inspiration and strength.”

Kim Kardashian’s Dance Workout

Showing off her curvaceous figure in all-black workout gear, Kim Kardashian was spotted going to the 3rd Street Dance Studio in West Hollywood on Monday afternoon (January 12).

Continuing to branch out her business endeavors, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” was reportedly there to film a new dance workout video as a follow-up to her appearance on “Dancing with the Stars.”


Meanwhile, Kim recently spoke about her personal life with Hollyscoop during the Golden Globe parties, telling that she sees motherhood becoming a reality in “a few years.”

“I do [have motherhood on my mind]. I was just at a basketball game with a friend who has two babies and Kourtney and I were holding them and she looked over to me and was like ‘this is us in ten years’ and I was like no, ‘this is us in just a few years,’” Kim explained.

But for this to become a reality, Kim’s football star boyfriend better hurry up and pop the question, as Kim tells of having a child out of wedlock, “Never say never, but I don’t think so. I was married before and I didn’t have kids, so I’m pretty old fashioned like that. I’d like to be married.”

Miley Cyrus and Hanna Beth: Skating Mates

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, it was an afternoon of family fun for the Cyrus gang, as Miley headed out skating with family and friends in Nashville on Sunday (December 28).

The Disney tween queen and her gal pal Hanna Beth looked to be having a ball as they skated around in spangly leggings and headbands.


Meanwhile, Miley’s family and boyfriend Justin Gaston also joined in on the fun, cheering from the benches and taking to the rink themselves.

The holiday getaway comes ahead of big plans for Miss Cyrus this New Year’s Eve, as she’s been signed on to host “FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise… New Year’s Eve 2009”.

During the show, Miley will be surprising one lucky fan by performing her hosting duties for the show from his or her house - with the show airing live on MTV on Wednesday, December 31 from 8-9:30PM ET.

Making a holiday gift return, Brandy Norwood was spotted looking quite stylish at the Gucci boutique in Beverly Hills yesterday (December 28).

The “I Wanna Be Down” songstress smiled as she passed the paparazzi, sporting a brown sweater, slim fit jeans, and a matching Louis Vuitton boots/handbag combo.


In related news, Brandy is being sued by Donald Lite following her car crash back on December 30th of 2006, as he says he’s sustained “serious and permanent injuries.”

The plaintiff’s statement claims, “As a direct and proximate result of the negligence, carelessness and recklessness—the plaintiff suffered serious and permanent injuries all of which have caused, and continue to cause pain, suffering and nervousness.”

Paris Hilton and Her BFF: Shopping in Australia

They’re down under prepping for a big New Year’s Eve bash, and earlier today (December 29) Paris Hilton and her BFF Brittany Flickinger were spotted out and about in Melbourne, Australia.

The “Stars are Blind” songstress and her best gal pal were joined by Paris’ sister Nicky and her longtime beau David Katzenberg as they did some shopping at the Wayne Cooper store.

And all three ladies seemed to be fighting off some serious jet lag, as they all sported sunglasses as they tried on various dresses during their retail romp.

Earlier in the day, Miss Hilton treated her fans to a brief meet and greet after arriving on a flight from Los Angeles. The Herald-Sun reported, “Paris signed autographs and Playboy magazines for the throng of fans who had turned out for her arrival. The posse quickly left the airport and headed into a black Lexus bound for South Yarra’s Como hotel.”

Enjoying all of the luxuries afforded by her notoriety, Paris Hilton was spotted arriving at the Stokehouse restaurant in St. Kilda, Melbourne this evening (December 29).

Accompanied by her BFF Brittany Flickinger, the “Simple Life” hottie looked beautiful in a spaghetti-strap floral print dress teamed with white heels and a purple clutch.

And it sounds like Miss Hilton may have lost out on an extra paycheck during her time in Australia, as her tour organizers failed to seal an endorsement deal with Southern Star Observation Wheel.
